world of warcraft
azonC asked:

ok i have a couple questions here but first i’ll explain whats going on. I just got the world of warcraft battle chest package- it includes: both world of warcraft, and the burning crusade DVD ROMs, and the manuals for both. i have already finished the 10 day free trial. so the world of warcraft icon is still on my computer, wich brings us to question 1: do i just put in the authentication key from the normal world of warcraft DVD ROM into account management to upgrade my account? question 2: do i put the burning crusade DVD ROM onto my computer before or after the account thing is done? question 3: after the burning crusade thing is done, is there anything else left to do, or do i just log on and access the new features? You may answer as many or as little questions as you want because all help is appreciated.

The file “C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft\Uninstall.xml” could not be renamed to “C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft\Uninstall.xml.Trash”. (ConflictManager::ResolveConflicts/3)

To check this installation for problems, click the “Repair” button. The Repair tool can automatically fix many update errors.

I did the repair and still no good. Help is greatly appreciated!

I’ve tried installing a few times and I get the same error everytime. If anyone knows what to do or at least has some knowledge in this area and can guess what the problem is that’d be great.

Thanks guys
Problem is fixed, I was reading the error and it was located in my C drive and I installed WoW in a different drive so I just deleted the file and it installed with no problems.

I already have the original World of Warcraft installed in my computer(Drive D – I split my hard disk to C and D). It has even been upgraded to Frozen throne but when I opened my Burning Crusades disc, it said that World of Warcraft is required… I don’t know why it can’t find the original WoW.

I have changed the file name of the folder of Warcraft in the past but have returned it to Warcraft III now. I don’t know if it has something to do with this.
Oh, so you mean that Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and WoW are different?
Doh!!! Waste! LOL… Anyway… Thanks for the answer!
