I have ordered the game and it is on its way, my friend has doenloaded the free 14 day trial, the problem is that we both have Vista, he has downloaded the patch to get it working. He logged in and clicked play, it then said that the patch was installed successfully and told him to restart World of Warcraft, after he did it then said World of Warcraft failed to attact the patch and it shuts down, he has tried reloading it several times, what can he do?

ok, so i wanted to start world of warcraft and i did the 10 day free trial… the download took about 5 minutes and i started to play the streamed version of world of warcraft….

it kept on lagging so i came off it and started again, i noticed there was a paragraph of news saying how i can play the non streamed version downloading the full version which was 3.5 gigabytes…

it is much better, but it still slows down eg sometimes when i use my dwarfs gun it will not shoot, then 5 minutes later about 5 shots come out of it and i die….this keeps on happening.

so my question is….

1.) do i have to buy the 10 pound version in the game store of world of warcfraft. and uninstall the 3.5gigabyte version already installed in my laptop…

2.) will i be able to get the account i was using in the trail back… it has many level 20 characters and i dont want to lose them…

3.) will the lags and freezes ever accur again?? i really dont want to play it if it continues to freeze

i am not for the banning of world of warcraft because it is a violation of peoples rights but if you are for it plz think of this first if world of warcraft is banned then all video games that have any violent content what so ever must be taken off the shelfs to and any game that has any content that is not permitted in the world to day and that goes for movies and all sores that in one way or an other shows non-permitted customs

I was downloading a patch for World Of Warcraft, because it told me to when I logged in. So, I downloaded it, then it told me to restart.
So then it closed World Of Warcraft, then it started downloading the main patch. 697 mb was the size.
But I had to close it.

But now I can’t find out how to start downloading it again.

Anybody know how to start downloading it again?
When I click Background Downloader it says: Data for next patch is not available.

When I click 2.3.0 en-US Downloader it says:
Could not initialize storage. You may not have permission to write to the destination path.

The second one has a description that says Blizzard Downloader. That’s the one, but I don’t know why it won’t let me continue downloading.
