World Of Warcraft????????

mimimonster2cool4u asked:

I recently got World of Warcraft, and I love it. However, there’s a problem. My computer, a Gateway Desktop, keeps restarting every time I play the game! This isn’t just once in awhile…it’s every time. It could happen in the first five minutes for every five minutes I play, or once every hour. It still does it. Especially when I’m running an instance or looting.

I have .99 GB of RAM. Whenever it shuts off it gives me an error report telling me I need a new graphics thing (would say card but I know that’s not it) and it gives me a site to download from. I’ve downloaded the update about 3 times, but I don’t think it goes through successfully, either that or Intel doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

Can anyone help me out? If there’s something I need to buy, can anyone tell me how much it’ll cost and where I could get it? It’s the most annoying problem in the world, and I think any WoW player would be able to agree with me.

Any helpful replies would be great.

I had this happen to me whenever I played Audition. You need to go download your latest graphics card. You most likely have nvidia. Download nvidia geforce, trust me. When I played Audition after I downloaded the graphic update it didn’t restart. & It never did again =]

i agree with the previous post. thats most likely the problem. you can also report the issue to one of the game techies and they will email your irl email account to help you out. ive worked with them on 2 technical issues and they were able to explain how to fix both. good luck and happy gaming

Yes your video card driver is causing the crash. With a Gateway, I bet you have onboard graphics. Find out what graphics chip you are running, and visit the website of the chip manufacture. You should be able to download the latest and greatest from there.

If you are unable to get the drivers, then your next best option may bet to purchase an aftermarket video card. If you still have the documentation on your Gateway, check to see if you have an available PCI express, or AGP slot available. If you do then visit your local computer store and pick up a video card (will probably cost you in the area of $100). Now install your new video card, go into your computer bios and turn off the on board video. Failing to turn off (disable) the on board video will result in other issues :) .

    Hope this helps.
