Create a video blog…instantly.
the only specs on an external are the speed the GB/TB and the size of it
it depends if ur only putting WOW on it which only takes about 20gb
most externals ive seen are 3.0gbps and brans i reccomend is western digital, the best ive seen is 500gb for 120 but also saw 1tb for 140 but not sure how much u are willing to spend
but good luck

Any external HDD will work, all it is good for is storage… You need to make sure that your new laptop computer has an in built Grafix card that is capable of running WOW!! An integrated graphics controller is not good enough!!
Make sure you do your home work, research the specs make sure the computer has a dedicated graphics card with at least 256meg of it’s own RAM DDR2 & made by ATI or NVIDIA…
If you skip this part your new laptop will NOT be able to play any games!

As Tuea said, HDD’s aren’t a performance issue (only a load time issue which to me can be annoying but not a problem in game).
The best thing you can do however is use e-sata as apposed to just your standard USB connection as this will give you the transfer speed of an internal HDD but you will need an e-sata “in” port (which my MoBo has one built in) which can be purchased like a USB expansion slot in the back of your pc or what not.
